Critical Thinking is critical
Critical thinking in today’s world is, well, critical and very hard to find.
Even today, as there will be some of us who will watch the Presidential debate tonight there will be, statistically more of us, that won’t. Those that watch will mainly watch in order to hear what they want to hear in order to validate their already owned beliefs. There are those that will create a drinking game out of it by having to do a shot after every lie that will come out of the mouths of the candidates. For those that will drink for every Trump lie prepare to be sloshed.
Most people don’t ask enough questions or do near enough research in order to find the appropriate answers that will actually challenge their own beliefs. Most people simply want to go through life on autopilot and don’t want to stray too far from their comfort zone and simply have their current beliefs validated despite the fact that their entire belief system is based on lies and fabrication.
For tonight, I welcome you all to learn more about what will most likely come up in the debate as the GOP platform known as Project 2025. Use the chart below and ask the questions you find in your research of this political plan. If you are unfamiliar with it I urge you to read and learn. You will probably find that you are unknowingly looking for solutions in the wrong place.
Religion has become a political tool. Despite the Constitution and the Separation of Church and State, Louisiana has now made it a law that the schools must post the 10 Commandments on their walls. This comes from a state that is 47th in the nation for education. It seems better for them to make sure there is a poster of the 10 Commandments on the wall despite the fact that most of the students can’t even read the poster.
Science has become opinion in order for people to continue to feel comfortable in their numbed existence.
If you want to know how you, or we, can break out of this existence that we find ourselves in we must be brave enough to ask the uncomfortable questions. We must be brave enough to accept the answers to a new paradigm that stretches us and helps to make us grow.
Critical Thinking is a tool that most people don’t utilize. In order to begin it really isn’t that hard. You must simply ask different questions and be prepared for the answer despite your current belief systems or comfort zone. Acting on this will definitely help you become a better human being.
Whenever you find yourself in a situation of needing to know the Who, What, Where, When, Why or How of any certain situation or discussion, etc. I have included a chart for you to begin with. By asking these questions in your own personal queries or discussions with others you will find yourself opening up to allowing yourself to learn that what you currently know or believe is based on false information. Or weeding through the chaff in order to create better and more healthy relationships with yourself and those you love in your life. You will find new answers and allow yourself to learn about yourself and the people in your life. You will certainly begin to find yourself living a much more authentic life.
I very much welcome your comments and concerns to start a dialogue.
