From Out of Left Field…
I received a phone call the other day that came out of left field and took me by surprise. In a good way.
In the past, when I have received phone calls from police officers it tends to set me off guard. And rightly so, most people would say. In fact, I don’t think most people get phone calls from police officers. If they do it usually means that something bad has happened or is about to happen, or perhaps they are asking for money for their community pancake breakfast.
It was a call from a retired police officer from Southern California, named Adam, who wanted to talk to me about my book, Quantum of Justice. (As of this writing is running at 53% off!!)
He said that he was doing some research for a lawsuit that he was working on and came across a podcast that I had done. It was an interview with a lawyer friend of mine, Scott Stafne, who was filing a Writ of Certiorari to submit a lawsuit he wanted to file with the United States Supreme Court. We talked at length, in that discussion, about the corrupt nature of our judicial system. Scott is a very well seasoned litigator at the highest level and we talk periodically of the challenges our country tends to face with such a corrupt judicial system. I have a handful of lawyers and retired judges from across the country who I talk with, every once in a while, to discuss the travesty of our current system.
Adam went on to tell me that as he was listening to my preamble of the interview explaining the legal points of my lawsuit that I had detailed out in the book and including some of the legal documents, he thought “Wow, this guy gets it! And he is explaining things so clearly.”
So he decided to track me down in order to take the time and thank me for writing the book. Very kind indeed. He told me that he was aghast at the eye opening experience of how corrupt our justice system can be. He was doing some research due to the fact that he himself had gotten into a lawsuit and began to witness firsthand much of what I have exposed in the book. There were some other stories we each told that we would not put in print, but happened nonetheless. That information would be more safe told on a secured network…we’ll leave it at that.
He did state that while he was a police officer he had never witnessed the dark sides of justice. He had heard stories, but didn’t really understand the depth of the problematic systemic issues we face. He, as with most people, have heard things and most of the time people think it is related to more isolated issues of circumstance. There can be nothing further from the truth.
The legal issues that Adam began to unfold in court exposed him to widespread judicial corruption, manipulation of codes and procedures, and the a court’s blatant ignoring of laws. He was now taking his case to the United States Supreme Court. This was why he was taking an interest in the Writ of Certiorari discussion I mentioned earlier.
There is a quiet pride that I witness inside myself when I receive phone calls or emails like this. There can never be too many of these. It validates all of the time and energy that I put into my work, not only navigating the lawsuit that I did but, writing my book and creating the blog and podcast to follow up on some of those things further.
In our current political and social climate all of this information is quite poignant and a pros pos. We have document leaks coming from deep inside the United State Supreme Court. We have the wife of justice Clarence Thomas part and parcel of the attempted coup on Jan. 6, 2021, and we have justice Clarance Thomas himself lying on documents and withholding information. The silence of the whole Jeffery Epstein case and files. It is clear that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
It is a travesty really.
With that said, I will be doing a few podcast discussions with Adam to explore some of what we talked about and more in the very near future. I feel it will be a good experience for people to hear from someone who has been “in the belly of the beast” for their career and have come out the other side witnessing the travesty that justice has truly become.
Grab a copy of my book, Quantum of Justice, today so you can follow along as we discuss some of the deeper topics in the upcoming podcasts.
